Boost your memory with Bedtime Memory Building Exercise

It is said that ‘Knowledge is Power’. And the mind is a place where all the knowledge is stored. This means that the more you improve your mind’s capacity, the more knowledge will be retained in your mind and you’ll be more mentally strong.

In this article, I’m going to share certain bedtime memory building exercise that you need to practice before you fall off to sleep every night. This exercise has actually proven to be working wonders for people who have been practicing it. By practicing it on a daily basis, you’ll notice that you’ll be able to remember the small details of the day and recollect the details that you used to forget completely.

So, without wasting much time, here’s the bedtime memory building exercise:

Each night, as you lay off in your bed, just review of all the things that you did during the day. Start from the first thing you did in the morning and then finish it up with the details of the last thing. Start off with the exact thing you did as you woke up and finish at the moment that you came for sleep in your bed. Visualize each and every thing in the sequential order from the starting to the end just like watching a video recap in your mind.

As soon as you start practicing, you may  be surprised as to how few details you remember. You'll likely jump quickly through your recollection of the day from one major event or block of time to the next without recalling any of the meticulous details from the smaller moments contained within those larger time blocks.

But within weeks time of practicing this exercise you’ll observe a drastic improvement in your memory and you will catch minute details of the days proceedings. You goal should be to take your memory to the point where you can visualize the particulars present in every scene; people who were present, dialogue you had, color of the dress, song being played in the radio. Gradually after some months of practicing this, you’ll notice the below mentioned benefits:

  • Your memory will be improved. You’ll notice that your ability to recollect the minute details of a day, week or month will be better.
  • You’ll start to live more in the moment.  You’ll become more observant of how you’re spending time.
  • You’ll become more focused on the task at hand.  This bedtime memory building exercise will help you in narrowing your focus and concentrate when you’re tackling difficult tasks.
  • You’ll improve your ability to visualize other aspects of your life as well.  You’ll become more focused towards your future goals and objectives.
  • You’ll fall asleep more easily.  You’ll notice that often in the middle of recapping your day, you peacefully snooze off into a deep sleep.
